Round one for Meadowlily Woods
I would like to thank everyone that came out on September 30th to speak out about the Big Box development application that would be adjacent to Meadowlily Woods(ESA). I would like to give honourable mention to Irene Mathyssen, Jacquie Gauthier and Daniel O’Neail that attended the Public Participation Meeting. This is just the begining of the process. The Planning Committee’s recommendation should go before the City Council on October 20th. Please attend.

Thames Region Ecological Association is firmly in favour of saving our tree cover, and expanding green space, for our future, for the future of the planet. To do that we need to build more compact retail, commercial, industrial and residential. Mixed use urban form rather than sprawl and highways is needed to accomodate future growth. No more big box retain. More walkable, transit oriented, and cycling oriented neighbourhoods. Save local jobs, save our neighbourhoods, save the forests.. Support the Planning Committee at Council on October 20th.
